Ilustracja z mojej serii Światy, inspirowana książką Lewa Ręka Ciemności (The Left Hand of Darkness, Ursula Le Guin, 1969). Książki Ursuli Le Guin to dla mnie wielka inspiracja. The Left Hand of Darkness czy The Dispossessed to moje ulubione jej dzieła i od wielu lat wpływają na to jak i co rysuję. Serię Światy zapoczątkowałem głównie przez jej książki (chociaż inni mistrzowie sci-fi Lem, Simmons i Herbert też odegrali swoje role), chciałem jakoś nadać życia wyobrażeniom które rozwinęły się w mojej głowie. W pracach tych próbuję uchwycić specyficzną atmosferę i to coś, co sprawia, że dany Świat / pejzaż jest nam na wiele sposobów bliski ale jednoczeście bardzo obcy. Druga praca w serii dostępna w sklepie to Arrakis (Diuna, Frank Herbert, 1965).

Kolejne prace w serii które jeszcze nie są skończone to jak narazie Rocannon’s World (ponownie Le Guin) oraz Regis III z powieści Stanisława Lema Niezwyciężony.

– Ilustracja drukowana wysokiej jakości pigmentami na papierze matowym 230g.
– Zamówienia w formatach większych niż A3 pakowane są w papier ochronny i podróżują w twardej tekturowej tubie. Prace w formacie A3 lub mniejszym są pakowane w papier ochronny oraz wysyłane w kopercie odpowiedniego rozmiaru. A few words about the work:

Illustration from my series Worlds, inspired by the book The Left Hand of Darkness (Ursula Le Guin, 1969). Books by Ursula Le Guin are a great inspiration fo me. The Left Hand of Darkness or The Dispossessed are among my favourite creations of hers and they have been influencing what and how I draw for years now. The series Worlds has been started because of her books (although the other sci-fi masters like Lem, Simmons and Herbert have also played a role), I wanted to somehow manifest the ideas that developed in my mind. In these works I’m trying to capture the specific atmosphere and the intangible quality that makes each World familiar but at the same time very alien to us. The other work in the series that’s available in the online shop is Arrakis (Dune, Frank Herbert, 1965).

The forthcoming works in the series, so far, which are not yet finished are Rocannon’s World (Le Guin again) and Regis III from Stanisław Lem’s The Invincible.

– Each print is signed.
– This is a high quality print on 230g matte paper.
– Each order that includes prints that are larger than A3 is meticulously packed with protective paper and into a cardboard tube. A3 or smaller formats are packed with protective paper and sent in an envelope. Of course if you order multiple prints of varied sizes I will combine the order into one package. All illustrations / posters are printed in Poland.
– The print does not include a frame. The colours may vary slightly depending on your screen settings.
